Pecan Pie Bars

These are better than the pie!

Crust:
1 3/4 C all-purpose flour
1/3 c packed dark brown sugar
3/4 c unsalted butter, softened

Preheat oven to 350° F. combine using pastry knife until mixed. Press 
into 13x9 pan. Bake 16-20 minutes until golden brown.

Filling:
1 c packed dark brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 c dark corn syrup
1/4 c unsalted butter, melted
1 t vanilla extract
1/8 t salt
2 c chopped pecans

Mix all filling ingredients but pecans. Stir in pecans. Pour over 
baked crust. Bake additional 35 minutes (or until set) at 350°.
